What is Vapour Blasting used for?

Vapour Blasting is the best option for cleaning automotive, motorcycle, and aircraft parts.

It can also be used for the following:

  • for cleaning tools and dies
  • for cleaning or as a spec surface finish.
  • for removing burrs and prepping surfaces
  • for cleaning surfaces of moulds for better release
  • for Rubbers and Plastics.
    • We have done plastic throttle tubes, rubber hand grips, shifter and rear brake rubbers, intake manifolds, isolation rubbers. We have had great success making these look new again.
  • for various art projects and creating artistic finishes
    • Vapour blasting can be used for artistic finishes on a variety of different materials.
    • It can also be used to etch or frost glass and acrylic, creating a finer frosted effect than sandblasting.  It’s a hand done process, therefore, the finish is more organic and can be modified to some degree.
    • We are also artists, so if you are thinking about a project and want us to try blasting as a surface finish, let’s talk.
  • for surface prep for new paint, powder coat, ceramic coating and anodizing.
    • It not only cleans but gives a nice even tooth for the topcoat to adhere to.  (Please note that an anodized finish is dependant on the base metal finish quality.)
    • The finer the surface finish, the greater the anodized luster. That being said we have several customers who want that soft satin, eggshell, or matt anodizing and can help you prep your parts to achieve it. Its part of the new matt look a lot of the tuner cars are looking for and we can help you hit that look.
    • We also have a partner who can polish larger items and would be happy to help coordinate to serve your needs.
