What is Vapour Blasting?

Vapour blasting, (also known as wet blasting, vapour honing, and aqua blasting), is an environmentally friendly method to remove oxidation and staining, and to prepare parts for inspection and reassembly.  It uses a pressurized water slurry instead of harsh chemicals, to clean corrosion, rust, grime, and tarnish out of tight places.  Because it uses the flow of water as opposed to sheer force, it is great for cleaning, as well as for prep for finishes.  The water acts like a lubricant so it protects the parts being cleaned from erosion and distortion.

We can vapour blast a variety of materials such as aluminum, magnesium, steel and stainless steel, titanium, brass, copper, plastics, rubber, as well as precious metals such as gold, sliver, and platinum, all without any significant change in tolerances.

It is ideal for the restoration of high-end cars, motorcycles or aircraft, whether you are a professional builder, tuner, or just a weekend enthusiast.

  • It restores your parts to OEM or better, leaving a soft satin finish that cannot be done by any other process.
  • Gasket surfaces can be vapour blasted without worry about parts fit or new gasket sealing properly.
  • It is an ideal surface cleaning method for pre inspection cleaning. It is easier to inspect for cracks and other defects after vapour blasting, and the part is ready to use, or ready for its new top coat.
